Electronic Prescribing Service (EPS)
The NHS is phasing out green prescriptions. The majority of prescriptions are now processed electronically through EPS.
EPS allows prescribers to send prescriptions electronically to a dispenser of the patient’s choice. They are known as their “nominated” dispenser. Paper prescriptions will continue to be available in special circumstances. Almost all prescriptions will be processed electronically.
If you have a problem with the Pharmacy unable to locate your electronic prescription, please speak to Reception staff.
Medication Reviews
All repeat medications are reviewed according to the doctor's instructions. This could be annually or, with certain medications, at more frequent intervals. You will need to make an appointment to see your Doctor to have this review.
Medication Reviews can be requested;
- by completing an online form during the hours that eConsult services is operating. This service is available at the beginning of the day.
- by telephoning your practice.
