Primary Care Networks (PCN)
Temple Hill Group is part of Dartford Central Primary Care Network. The PCN contains 3x GP practices covering in the region of 39,300 patients.
Primary Care Networks (PCNs) are groups of general practices who work together, at scale to provide a wider range and improved services to patients in their communities.
The video below explains the concept of PCNs and how they enable services to work together to provide better access for patients.
PCNs aim to further improve access, availability and quality of primary care services to local people by:
- Increasing the number of healthcare staff in practices
- Improving access and range of support for patient needs
- Working closely with other community services to better support people
- Expanding services available in GP practices
Additional Roles In GP Practices
New roles have been introduced into general practice freeing up GPs to focus their skills where they are most needed, such as diagnosing and treating patients. The new roles include:
You may have already met or had contact with some of these roles through your own personal experience with your GP surgery. Dartford Central PCN may not recruit all of these roles, but we will recruit our workforce based on the needs of our patient population and and review as the PCN develops over the forthcoming years.
